[AD] Asience
3.3.15Asience isn't a new brand to the majority of us and isn't a new brand to my blog as well.
They are a leading hair care brand in Asia with their amazing products that never cease to amaze me.
Recently, they have launched a new formula for their hair care line!
Here's what they sent me this time to pamper my fried hair with
Here is the Asience Inner Rich Shampoo & Conditioner 480ml set
In their new reformulation, these products include a special beauty serum which contains the concentrated infusion of Argan Oil, Camelia Oil,
Pomegranate Extracts, Rose, White Pearl and Lemongrass essences. It is designed to penetrate into your
hair shaft, repairing from within, giving your hair the three key signs of youthful vitality- softness, shine and
smoothness.
I personally love that there is Argan Oil and Camelia Oil in their formula because just like the famous Olive Oil and Coconut Oil, it really does wonders for your hair and can even be used alone as a concentrated hair mask which is what I usually do once or twice a month or even weekly when I bleach my hair.
Here's what you can find around leading supermarkets, western pharmacies and personal care stores since Janurary this year
Asience Inner Rich – For dry, frizzy and unmanageable hair
Asience Inner Rich Shampoo & Conditioner
S$ 14.90 (480ml)/S$ 7.95 (200ml)
Dryness is found to be one of the main causes of frizzy hair. Combat those frizzy hair troubles with the
Asience Inner Rich shampoo, conditioner and treatment care range that gives you all-day moisture that your
hair needs.
Asience Nature Smooth – For oily scalp and tangled ends
Asience Nature Smooth Shampoo & Conditioner

S$ 7.95 (200ml)
The Asience Nature Smooth range resolves your hair issues of having an oily scalp and yet dry and tangled
hair ends. The rich formula cleanses and repairs from deep within, hydrating your hair for a light and smooth
finish.
One mega plus point for me when using Asience products is that it smells amazing!!! I love how my hair smells after washing it with my new shampoo and conditioner thanks to Asience and also, their new formula. This new formula definitely works well for my tortured hair and I don't look forward to them getting used up hahaha
Shampoo and conditioner aside, they also have a separate treatment tube in their new formula which I am definitely going to purchase when my current tub of hair mask runs out
Asience Inner Rich Treatment Care
S$ 12.90 (180ml)
Asience Nature Smooth
Treatment Care
S$ 12.90 (180ml)
My hair is rather fried again now because my lil hair dyeing adventures with all the different colours I've had in the past few months hahaha here's what I mean
This is how neglected hair looks like.
What you can do though, is treat your hair. Ensure that the shampoo and conditioner in your hair care routine is one that works well with your type and also, add in hair masks or treatments into your routine to feed your hair some proteins and nutrients that it lost during the bleaching process
And your hair will love you back :)
But why is Asience so special? This portion wasn't sent to me in their press release for this post but I did also blog about this in my previous post about their hair mask which I absolutely loved.
The simple science as to why their products do wonders for me is because they were created for me, an asian.
So what differentiates Caucasian hair from asian hair?
The structure of our hairs are different. Asian hair have cuticles with a steeper angle while Caucasian hair have flatter cuticles.
The structure of our hairs are different. Asian hair have cuticles with a steeper angle while Caucasian hair have flatter cuticles.
The distance between cuticle cells is narrower in Asian hair than in Caucasian hair.
Cuticles are the protective “shingles” that guard the inner protein structure of your hair. Typical human hair has 5 to 10 layers of cuticles. Asian hair has more (closer to 10) than Caucasian (which has closer to 5). Asian cuticles are also wider, thicker and more densely packed. When Asian hair is stretched or pulled, the cuticles tend to break off in large pieces that keep their original shape. On the other hand, the cuticles of Caucasian hair tend to break into smaller fragments and fall off.
The cuticles of Asian hair tends to fall off because the adhesive that holds the cuticle cells together fails. In Caucasian hair, the adhesive holds better but the cuticle cell itself starts to break first.
And from my previous post,
"Did you know that Asian hair is actually 1.5 times thicker than Caucasian hair?"
Plus a little history on this hair care brand...
